Each MediaOne M50 monitor includes a 5.25" polypropylene woofer that delivers tight lows, and is complemented by a 3/4" silk-dome tweeter that's housed in a custom waveguide which adds smooth highs along with a wide sound stage. This results in a system that offers a balanced frequency response plus stunning full-range audio. In addition, a Bass Boost switch lets users bring in low-frequency enhancement.
Built upon Samson's 20 years of experience designing professional studio monitors used in recording studios worldwide, the MediaOne M50s are powered by an internal 80-watt (40 watts per channel) A/B type studio-grade amplifier to produce detailed and powerful sound. Additionally, the wood cabinet construction with rear porting ensures maximum efficiency and low response with no mechanical power loss.
You'll find it quick and easy to connect your mixer, audio interface, computer, or mobile audio device to this system's rear-panel RCA inputs. A front panel headphone jack engages the speaker's mute function – great for private listening sessions. Plus, a 1/8" (3.5mm) output enables you to add a separate powered subwoofer (sold separately) in with your MediaOne M50s to bring forth a 2.1 system.
